ASUS Japan has announced the Zenbook 14 UX3480 series, a 14-inch mobile notebook line that lets buyers pick between processors from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm, according to ASCII.jp. The lineup spans three products and 23 models in total, per a press release carried by Mainichi Shimbun.
ASCII.jp's hands-on review highlights that the machine uses an OLED panel while starting in the ¥180,000 range. The three processor families named in the coverage are Intel Core Ultra, AMD Ryzen, and Qualcomm Snapdragon, as reported by PC Watch via Yahoo! News.
On battery life, PC Watch published a short assessment saying that after six hours of mixed use — including drafting documents, Photoshop work, and playing Street Fighter 6 — the Zenbook 14 still had 45 percent charge remaining.
Separately, kakaku.com reports that ASUS is running a campaign in which buyers of eligible Zenbook models can receive a digital gift worth ¥5,000.
The combination of an OLED display and a choice of three chip platforms is the central pitch of the series, with the ¥180,000-class starting price positioned as notable for an OLED-equipped machine, according to ASCII.jp.
What to watch next: whether the campaign terms and the full model-by-model pricing for the 23 configurations are detailed further, and how the three processor variants compare in independent testing.
