PCMag reported on Monday, August 10, 2026, that a specific Asus ROG gaming laptop is available for $700 less than its usual price. The outlet highlighted this as the best laptop deal of the day, though the exact model and retailer were not detailed in the available summary.
The deal centers on Asus’s Republic of Gamers (ROG) line, which is known for high-performance gaming hardware. According to PCMag, the discount brings the price down significantly, making it a notable option for buyers seeking a gaming rig without paying full retail.
Context from other recent reviews suggests the ROG brand has been active with multiple models. GadgetMatch published a review of the ROG STRIX G16, describing it as built for the moment, while PC Guide covered the ROG Zephyrus Duo GX651AX, calling it a uniquely designed and powerful laptop. These reviews indicate that Asus has a range of ROG devices in the market, but PCMag’s deal report does not specify which model is discounted.
The $700 reduction is the key fact here, but the lack of specifics means potential buyers should check PCMag’s original article for the full details, including the retailer and the exact laptop configuration. Deals of this size often apply to limited stock or specific variants, so the terms matter.
What to watch next: PCMag’s daily deal coverage may reveal whether this discount extends beyond the day or if other ROG models see similar price cuts in the coming weeks.
