Arsenal are set to face Italian side Como in a club friendly on Wednesday, August 12, with the match taking place at the Emirates Stadium. The London Evening Standard reports that the fixture serves as part of Arsenal's pre-season preparations ahead of the upcoming campaign.
According to Arsenal.com, Eberechi Eze is back in the starting lineup for the Gunners, while Bruno Guimarães has been named among the substitutes for Como. The team news confirms that both clubs are using the match to give minutes to key players at different stages of fitness.
The Evening Standard's predicted lineup suggests Arsenal will field a strong side, though the club has not confirmed the full starting XI in the reporting available. BBC notes that this is the first meeting between the two clubs in recent memory, with no significant head-to-head history to draw on for the fixture.
TNT Sports has published its own prediction for the match, with odds favoring Arsenal given their home advantage and squad depth. Como, newly promoted to Serie A, are expected to provide a competitive test as they continue their own pre-season buildup.
Sports Illustrated has detailed how fans can watch the match on TV or via live stream, with coverage available through standard broadcast channels. The friendly comes at a time when Arsenal are fine-tuning their tactics and rotation options before the Premier League season begins.
The key storyline to watch is how Arsenal integrate Eze into their attacking setup, and whether Bruno's cameo off the bench for Como will shift the balance of the game in the second half.
