Automakers selling vehicles in Argentina have renewed their zero-interest financing programs for October, offering terms that stretch from 12 to 36 months on new cars, according to Infobae. Ford is advertising the largest single amount reported so far this quarter, letting buyers finance up to 40 million pesos over 18 months on Ranger versions equipped with a V6 engine. The plans differ widely by brand, model, version, repayment period and sales channel, and several companies are running more than one program at the same time.

Why it matters

Zero-rate financing has become a central tool for moving new-vehicle inventory in Argentina, where the cost of borrowing through conventional channels remains a major obstacle for buyers. The October offers show how aggressively manufacturers are competing for the same pool of customers, and how the structure of those offers — fixed installments versus UVA-indexed credit — can change what a buyer actually pays over time. The absence of published offers from some major players also leaves room for the picture to shift before the month ends.

Ford and Volkswagen

Ford's headline offer covers Ranger V6 versions at a 40-million-peso ceiling over 18 months. Other Ranger powertrains and the Everest SUV carry a 30-million-peso cap over the same term. The Territory Titanium can be financed up to 25 million pesos across 24 months, while the hybrid Territory HEV gets the same amount but over 18 months, according to Infobae.

Volkswagen is running two separate tracks. Under its Financiá+ program, the Polo Comfortline and Highline, Tera Comfort, High and Outfit, Nivus, T-Cross Comfortline, Highline and Extreme, Virtus Sense and Tiguan Life can be financed up to 28 million pesos over 12 months, 20 million over 18 months, or 17 million over 24 months. The Amarok, excluding the Trendline version, raises those ceilings to 36.5 million pesos at 12 months, 24.5 million at 18 months and 16.5 million at 24 months. For the Taos Highline and Bi-Tono, the reported maximums are 15 million pesos at 12 months, 20 million at 18 months and 17 million at 24 months. Infobae notes that the installments published for Financiá+ cover only the financed principal, with vehicle insurance billed separately.

In parallel, Volkswagen Compañía Financiera disclosed a general zero-rate structure of up to 23 million pesos over 12 months or 15.5 million over 18 months for the Vento GLI, Tiguan, Taos, Nivus, Saveiro, T-Cross, Polo, Virtus and Tera.

Renault's two channels and Nissan, Honda

Renault continues to sell financed vehicles through two distinct routes. Through Mobilize Financial Services, it offers up to 30 million pesos over 12 months for the Boreal and Master. At that same term, the Kardian tops out at 28 million pesos, the Arkana at 27 million, the Duster and Kangoo van at 25 million, the Oroch at 20 million, the Kwid at 18 million and the Kangoo passenger version at 17 million.

At 18 months, the ceilings are 27 million pesos for the Boreal, 24 million for the Kardian, 22 million for the Arkana, 20 million for the Kangoo van, 18 million for the Oroch, 17 million for the Duster, 16 million for the Kwid and 15 million for the Kangoo passenger version. Over 24 months, the Boreal and Kardian reach a maximum of 20 million pesos, the Kangoo van 16 million, the Arkana 15 million, the Duster and Kwid 14 million, and the Kangoo passenger version 13 million.

At 30 months, the reported maximums are 15 million pesos for the Kardian, 14 million for the Boreal, 13 million for the Arkana and Kangoo van, 11 million for the Duster and Kangoo passenger version, and 10 million for the Kwid. Buyers who finance a Boreal or Kardian through Mobilize also receive six complimentary months of comprehensive insurance with a 5% deductible, subject to the stated conditions, according to Infobae.

Renault Store, the brand's digital purchasing channel, adds limited allocations: the Kardian and Arkana up to 19 million pesos over 12 or 18 fixed installments; the Duster up to 17 million over 12 or 18; the Boreal up to 17 million over 18; the Kangoo van up to 16 million over 12 or 18; and the Kwid up to 14 million over 12 or 18 months.

Nissan reported secured lending of up to 20 million pesos at zero rate over 12 or 24 months for the Kicks, Sentra and X-Trail. A separate line for the Kait offers 18 million pesos over 12 months, and the company is keeping its no-loss options at 12 and 18 months for the Kicks, Sentra and X-Trail.

Honda Argentina announced zero-rate plans across its full lineup, allowing buyers to finance up to 24 million pesos over 24 fixed installments. The company also mentioned alternatives at 12 and 18 months without specifying the corresponding maximums.

Stellantis brands and Leapmotor

Across the Stellantis brand family, Peugeot offers a Tasa Express of up to 18 million pesos over 18 months for its entire range. It also has UVA-indexed credit at 24 months and zero rate, with a maximum of 26 million pesos for all models. Citroën mirrors those amounts and terms: up to 18 million pesos over 18 months under Tasa Express for the full range, and up to 26 million over 24 months through UVA credit at zero rate.

Fiat proposes up to 24 million pesos over 12 months across its range. The Cronos, Pulse, Fastback and Toro raise the maximum to 28 million pesos over 18 months. A UVA line adds up to 30 million pesos over 36 months for all models.

Jeep offers up to 24 million pesos over 12 months for its full range. The Renegade, Compass and Commander can be financed up to 28 million pesos over 18 months, and the Compass Sport has an exclusive alternative of 28 million pesos over 24 months. The brand also reported UVA credit at 24 months for up to 30 million pesos across its range. For RAM, the Stellantis communication mentions alternatives of up to 20 million pesos for the entire lineup.

DS Automobiles allows financing of up to 26 million pesos over 18 months at zero rate for any vehicle in its range. Its UVA line reaches 30 million pesos over 36 months, also at zero rate.

Leapmotor has two zero-rate options for its full range: up to 18 million pesos over 18 months and up to 24 million pesos over 12 months. Its UVA credit reaches 30 million pesos over 36 months.

What to watch

Infobae reports that neither Toyota nor General Motors had published their zero-rate financing offers for October as of the close of its report. Those announcements, along with any mid-month adjustments from brands already in the market, will determine whether the current terms hold or improve before November.
