Apple is expected to hold its annual September product event in 2026, with the iPhone 18 lineup, new Apple Watch models, and updated AirPods likely to be unveiled, according to Notebookcheck.
The report, published Wednesday, outlines that the event will serve as the launch platform for several key hardware updates. Notebookcheck notes that the iPhone 18 series will be the centerpiece, with multiple outlets including Forbes and Deccan Herald also signaling a September release window for the Pro models.
Beyond the flagship smartphone, the event is anticipated to introduce refreshed versions of Apple's wearable devices. Notebookcheck indicates that new Apple Watches and AirPods are among the products expected to be showcased, though specific features or design changes were not detailed in the reporting.
Additional coverage from Deccan Chronicle and firstpost.com suggests that the iPhone 18 Pro will be a major focus, with some speculation about a foldable iPhone also appearing at the event. However, Notebookcheck's summary does not confirm the foldable device, and that claim should be treated as unverified speculation from other outlets.
For consumers considering an upgrade, firstpost.com has raised the question of whether existing iPhone owners should wait for the new models. The answer, based on the available information, depends on whether the iPhone 18's expected improvements justify the cost for current users.
The September event is a recurring fixture on Apple's calendar, typically occurring in the first half of the month. Notebookcheck's report aligns with that pattern, though no exact date has been confirmed in the material provided.
What to watch next: Apple's official invitation, which typically arrives in late August and confirms the event date and format.
