New details about Apple’s upcoming smartwatch lineup have emerged, according to German tech outlet heise online. The reports cover both the standard Apple Watch Series 12 and the high-end Apple Watch Ultra 4, with a focus on expanded health tracking capabilities.
heise online reports that the Series 12 will likely feature an upgraded heart rate monitoring system. This aligns with separate coverage from CHIP, which states that the tech giant is planning to expand its heart rate measurement functions. The new system could enable continuous pulse tracking rather than periodic checks, according to Caschys Blog, which also mentions rumors of a ceramic case option for the device.
The health focus extends beyond hardware. iphone-ticker.de reports that Apple may introduce an AI-powered health coach as early as this month. If accurate, the feature would work alongside the new sensors to provide users with more personalized wellness guidance.
The reports come from multiple German-language outlets, each citing unnamed sources familiar with Apple’s plans. While the details vary slightly between publications, the overall picture suggests Apple is prioritizing health features for its next generation of wearables.
Business Insider Deutschland has also published a roundup of the most compelling rumors surrounding the Series 12, though specific details from that report were not available in the summary provided.
Apple has not officially confirmed any of these features. As with all pre-release leaks, the final products could differ from what the rumors suggest.
What to watch next: Expect official announcements from Apple in the coming weeks, likely alongside the iPhone launch event, which will confirm or deny these reported health upgrades and design changes.
