Apple is expected to unveil a pair of smart glasses at its WWDC27 developer conference, according to a report from 3DNews. The device will incorporate artificial intelligence but will not include any displays.
The glasses will reportedly omit a video recording function, as noted by multiple outlets including Snob and Sostav.ru. This decision appears to address privacy concerns, which Bloomberg has identified as a major challenge for smart glasses from Apple, according to ForkLog.
The product is anticipated to launch in 2027, RB.ru reports. By forgoing screens and cameras for recording, Apple may be aiming to differentiate its offering from existing smart glasses that have raised privacy alarms.

The key question now is how Apple will balance AI functionality with user privacy when it formally presents the device at WWDC27.
