Al Nassr go into their Saudi Pro League meeting with Al Faisaly sitting second in the table on 25 points, level with leaders Al Qadsiah, according to the standings published by the BBC on Friday 23 October 2026. Both clubs have played ten matches, won eight, drawn one and lost one. Al Qadsiah hold first place on goal difference, having scored 24 and conceded nine for a difference of 15, while Al Nassr have netted 21 and let in seven for a difference of 14.

Al Faisaly are 15th with seven points from their ten games. They have won once, drawn four and lost five, scoring ten goals and conceding 18. The BBC's table places the bottom three clubs — Al Fateh in 16th, Al Taawoun in 17th and Abha in 18th — in the relegation positions.

Why it matters

The gap between the two sides on paper is wide, but the table also shows how little separates the top of the division. Al Nassr and Al Qadsiah are tied on points, and Al Hilal are a single point behind on 24 despite having played one game fewer. A win for Ange Postecoglou's side would keep them in step with the leaders; anything less would leave room for Al Hilal to move ahead.

For Al Faisaly, the match is a chance to pull further away from the relegation places. Their seven points leave them three clear of Al Fateh and five above Al Taawoun, with Abha bottom on two points from eight matches.

How the table stands around them

Al Hilal's record of eight wins and one defeat from nine matches has produced 24 points and the strongest goal difference in the league at plus 20, with 27 goals scored and seven conceded. Al Ittihad are fourth on 20 points from nine games, and Al Ahli fifth on 18.

Below them, NEOM are sixth with 16 points from ten matches, Diriyah Club seventh on 15 and Al Ettifaq eighth, also on 15. Al Kholood and Al Khaleej are level on 12 points, with Al Shabab 11th on 11 and Al Hazem 12th on ten. Al Riyadh sit 13th on nine points and Al Fayha 14th on eight, one point above Al Faisaly.

The BBC notes that first, second and third place bring AFC Champions League Elite football, with fourth and fifth entering the Elite qualifiers and sixth going into AFC Champions League 2. The bottom three places lead to relegation.

The line-ups named by the BBC

The BBC's team sheets list Fernando Pacheco in goal for Al Faisaly, with Mohammed Jahfali, Seck — named captain — and Andrei Girotto in defence. Mohammed Al Shanqiti, Eid Al Muwallad, Flávio and Yaseen Barnawi are listed in midfield, with Abdullah Al Mogren, Alexandre Mendy and Abdulaziz Al Bishi up front.

Al Faisaly's substitutes include Faisal Al Fahad, Mohammed Al Hasawi, Abdulrahman Al Safari, Abdulrahman Al Sharif, Théo Bongonda, A. Ella, Saud Haddad, Jaime Seoane and Abdullah Bin Subayt.

Postecoglou's Al Nassr start with Bento in goal behind Awad Aman, Iñigo Martínez, Abdulelah Al Amri and Nawaf Bu Washl. Samú Costa and Abdullah Al Khaibari are named as defensive midfielders, with Sadio Mané, João Félix and Abdullah Al Hamddan in attacking roles and Cristiano Ronaldo leading the line as captain. The BBC's listing records a yellow card for Awad Aman at 14 minutes.

Al Nassr's bench comprises Abdulhadi Al Alwan, Salem Al Najdi, Sami Al Naji, Saad Al Nasser, Ângelo, Saad Haqawi, Majed Qasheesh, Aiman Yahya and Hayder Abdulk.

Form and the shape of the season

The results sequence in the BBC table shows Al Nassr's only defeat in their last six league outings coming in the second of those games, with four wins and a draw alongside it. Al Faisaly's run reads as a loss, two draws, a loss, a win and a draw, a sequence that has kept them within reach of the clubs immediately above them but has not lifted them clear of trouble.

The standings were last updated at 14:44 on 23 October 2026, shortly after the BBC's original publication time.

What to watch next is whether Al Nassr can convert their game in hand over Al Hilal — the difference between ten matches played and nine — into a cushion at the top, and whether Al Faisaly can add to their single win of the campaign.
