Russian figure skater Adeliia Petrosyan has changed the costume she will wear for her free program at this week's challenger competition in Georgia, championat.ru reported on Saturday.

The event marks Petrosyan's first tournament since the 2026 Winter Olympics, where she won silver, according to Rating Bukmekerov. Coverage of the competition from championat.ru framed one of the central questions around her appearance: whether Petrosyan, skating without ultra-C elements, can finish ahead of a quad-jumping rival from Estonia.

Petrosyan addressed the pressure surrounding her return in comments carried by Sportbox, saying she does not feel that the weight of responsibility has grown lighter. She described experiencing the same anxieties as before.

The challenger in Georgia also drew scheduling coverage, with olympteka.ru publishing the order and times at which Russian skaters were set to take the ice on October 3.

Petrosyan's result at the event is the immediate point to watch, particularly how her updated free skate program scores against a field that includes a competitor attempting quadruple jumps.
