Timekettle has brought its Babel OS 3.0 translation system to the LiveTalk, a pair of open-ear earbuds priced at $129, according to audioXpress. The report describes the LiveTalk as a lower-cost entry point into the company's translation hardware.
The LiveTalk joins a product line that has drawn attention from several outlets. The Travel Magazine has published a gear review of the LiveTalk AI translation earbuds, while UNILAD Tech tested AI translation headphones during a conversation with a Greek fiancée. stupidDOPE has covered the Timekettle W4 Plus AI interpreter earbuds, which the outlet says are aimed at adding context to multilingual meetings.
Timekettle has also pushed into higher price tiers. BigGo Finance reported the launch of a simultaneous interpretation earbud model priced at ¥68,000, and noted that the company positions it against Apple's AirPods Pro 3 on how it captures voice.
The $129 LiveTalk therefore sits at the opposite end of that range, pairing the Babel OS 3.0 software with an open-ear design that leaves the ear canal unobstructed.
What to watch next: whether Timekettle confirms the LiveTalk's supported languages and ship dates, details not included in the audioXpress report.
