There is a house in this story. It is not a house of brick and mortar only—it is a house of destiny. It is a house that had seen better days. It had been glorious, but now it lay in ruins. The foundation was laid, but the building was incomplete. The people had started with joy, but opposition, apathy, and discouragement had stopped the work. They had settled for a lesser life, a lesser house, a lesser glory.

But God sent a prophet named Haggai with a word that changed everything. And that word is for someone watching right now. THIS IS YOU. You have seen the former glory. You remember what it used to be—the joy, the peace, the provision, the health, the open doors. But now you look at your life and it seems like a ruin. You have been tempted to settle. You have been tempted to say, "It will never be as it was."

But the Holy Ghost brought me to this passage for you. Before I preach, I want you to receive this word into your spirit:

YOUR LATTER SHALL BE GREATER THAN YOUR FORMER.

VERSE 6 — "For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;"
Stop right there. Did you see that word?

"YET ONCE."

God is saying, "I am not done. I am about to do something once more." The word "yet" means there is more. It means the story is not over. It means the final chapter has not been written. And He says, "It is a little while." Your waiting is not forever. Your delay is not denial. It is just a little while.

And then He says, "I will shake." God is going to shake everything that can be shaken so that what cannot be shaken will remain. He is shaking the heavens—the spiritual realm. He is shaking the earth—the natural realm. He is shaking the sea—the nations and the unrest. He is shaking the dry land—the places that seem barren and fruitless.

Why is He shaking? To remove everything that is not of Him. To remove the old foundations that cannot support the new glory. To remove the limitations, the fears, the doubts, the traditions of men. He is shaking your life right now—not to destroy you, but to prepare you for a greater glory.

🔥 Receive it:
This is your SHAKING. That situation that seems to be falling apart—God is shaking it so that His glory can be revealed. That relationship that is being tested—God is shaking it so that only what is of Him remains. That business that is going through turbulence—God is shaking it so that the new thing He is doing can be established. Do not be afraid of the shaking. It is a sign that God is about to do something once more.

VERSE 7 — "And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts."
Stop right there. Did you see that word?

"THE DESIRE OF ALL NATIONS SHALL COME."

Who is the desire of all nations? It is Jesus Christ—the Messiah, the Hope of the world. But this prophecy also has a personal application for you. The desire of your heart—the thing you have been longing for, praying for, waiting for—shall come. God is not just shaking the nations; He is shaking your world so that your desire can come.

And then He says, "I will fill this house with glory." Not just a little glory. Not just a glimpse. He will FILL it. Your house—your life, your family, your body, your business, your ministry—shall be filled with glory.

🔥 Receive it:
This is your FILLING. That emptiness you have felt—that void in your heart, that lack in your home, that barrenness in your womb, that dryness in your spirit—God is about to fill it with His glory. The glory of the Lord is going to fill your house. Your latter house shall be filled with glory.

VERSE 8 — "The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts."
Stop right there. Did you see that word?

"THE SILVER IS MINE, AND THE GOLD IS MINE."

God is the owner of all the resources in the universe. He is not limited by the economy. He is not limited by your salary. He is not limited by the bank account. He is not limited by the job market. The silver and the gold belong to Him. And if He is going to fill His house with glory, He will also provide the resources to complete the work.

When the children of Israel were building the temple, God said, "The silver is mine, and the gold is mine." He was saying, "I will supply everything you need for the building." And He did—He stirred up the hearts of the people to give, and they gave more than enough.

🔥 Receive it:
This is your PROVISION. That financial lack you have been experiencing—God is saying, "The silver is mine, and the gold is mine." That debt that is weighing you down—God is saying, "The silver is mine, and the gold is mine." That project that needs funding—God is saying, "The silver is mine, and the gold is mine." He is not just going to give you a little; He is going to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

VERSE 9 — "The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts."
Stop right there. Did you see that word?

"GREATER."

God is not into restoration that only brings you back to where you were. He is into restoration that takes you beyond. The latter glory shall be GREATER than the former. This is the principle of the kingdom: your best days are not behind you; they are ahead of you. The glory of your latter house shall be greater.

What was the former house? For the Israelites, it was Solomon's temple—a magnificent structure. But God said the latter house would be greater. How? Because of the presence of the Messiah. Jesus Himself would walk into that second temple, and His presence would make it greater.

For you, the former house might be the days when you were healthy, when you had money, when your family was intact, when your ministry was flourishing. But God is saying, "The latter house shall be greater." Not because you are more talented, but because His presence will be more manifest in your life. The glory of the latter house is the glory of His presence.

And then He says, "And in this place will I give peace." The Hebrew word for peace is "shalom"—it means completeness, wholeness, health, prosperity, safety, rest. God is not just going to give you a greater house; He is going to give you peace in that house. The peace that passes understanding. The peace that the world cannot give. The peace that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

🔥 Receive it:
This is your GREATER GLORY. Your latter is greater than your former. Your best days are not behind you. Your greatest victories are ahead of you. Your greatest breakthroughs are coming. Your greatest joy is yet to be experienced. Your greatest impact is yet to be made. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former.

And this is your PEACE. In the midst of the shaking, God gives peace. In the midst of the building, God gives peace. In the midst of the waiting, God gives peace. He says, "In this place will I give peace." Not in some other place. Not in a distant future. In this place—right where you are—He gives peace.
