“Thinking God’s Thoughts (Access The Mind of Christ)”
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2:16
The weekend brought no rest.
A formal notice arrived early: the Echo Protocol board would hold a full review on Monday. Parents would be invited. Permanent restrictions were on the table. The system was preparing to make an example of them.
Kayla paced the school courtyard where they had agreed to meet. “I keep trying to figure out the next move,” she said. “What if we say the wrong thing? What if we push too hard and get shut down completely?”
Zara opened her TeeVo.
“1 Corinthians 2:16. Pastor Chris said when you were born again, you received God’s genetic code. That means you can access His thoughts. We have the mind of Christ. The CEV puts it this way: we understand what Christ is thinking.”
She looked at Kayla and Wesley. “We’re not supposed to reason from fear or from the system’s pressure. We’re supposed to think God’s thoughts. His ways have become our ways. His thoughts have become our thoughts. The more the Word dwells in us richly, the more our thinking lines up with His.”
They sat on the low wall and began to read aloud slowly, passages about the mind of Christ, wisdom, and the Spirit searching the deep things of God. Not planning strategy first. Letting the Word reshape their thinking.
After a while, Kayla grew quiet. Then she said, “If we have His mind… then panic is not His thought. Silence from fear is not His thought. Standing firm in love and truth is.”
Wesley’s phone vibrated. A new message from the unknown contact inside the school:
Monday’s review is not the end. Someone higher is watching the board. Stay in the mind of Christ. Do not react in the flesh.
Zara closed her TeeVo. “Then we don’t strategise from anxiety. We think His thoughts… and we walk them out.”
The banner still flew. Now their minds were aligning underneath it.
