“Staying Fueled and Aflame (Maintain Your Spiritual Zeal)”
Scripture: Romans 12:11
The suspension papers were still on the table when Kayla stepped in front of Zara.
“I’m the one who removed my wristband,” she said clearly. “And I’m not putting it back on.”
The Echo Protocol officials exchanged looks. The principal sighed. Temporary restrictions were placed on both girls instead of immediate suspension. Warning given. Eyes would be watching.
By lunch, the pressure had already begun to work on some students who had briefly stood with them the day before. One by one, voices grew quieter. Zeal that had flared up started cooling under the weight of rules and sideways glances.
Wesley noticed it first. “They’re fading,” he said. “Yesterday they were ready. Today they’re careful.”
Zara opened her TeeVo. Romans 12:11 stared back at her: “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.”
Pastor Chris’s words settled in her spirit. Many start on fire after they receive Christ prayer meetings, evangelism, bold declarations then the fire slowly wanes. But you have the responsibility to keep your zeal at boiling point. Be aglow in the Spirit. Maintain that childlike passion no matter how long you’ve been walking with God.
In the empty stairwell, the three of them gathered again. No long speeches. Just a decision.
“We don’t let the fire go down,” Zara said. “Not today. Not because of pressure.”
They prayed. Short. Fierce. In the Spirit. The same way you stay fueled by continually stirring the fire, not waiting for feelings to return.
When the final bell rang, Kayla’s phone buzzed. A message from the hospital:
Your brother’s oxygen levels just stabilised. Doctors can’t explain the sudden change.
Kayla stared at the screen, eyes shining. The fire had not gone out.

Tomorrow in Episode 4: The board tightens surveillance. A student who cooled off suddenly returns with a secret. And the coded message from the summer network is finally decoded.
TODAY’S TEEVO TRUTH:
“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.” Never allow the fire of God in your spirit to wane. Maintain your zeal at boiling point. Be aglow in the Spirit.
ACTION STEP:
Speak it now:
“I don’t lag in zeal and earnest endeavour. I am burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord. My passion for God’s Word and the things of the Spirit continually intensifies.”
SUSPENSE ALERT:
The system is watching more closely. Some who stood with them are growing quiet. Will the fire hold when the pressure increases again tomorrow?
