“The Word in Your Mouth (Your Infallible Success Recipe)”
Scripture: Joshua 1:8
The new term opened with a strange rule.
A banner hung over the school gate:
SUCCESS IS SILENCE. SPEAK ONLY WHAT IS APPROVED.
Every student wore a wristband that flagged “unverified declarations.” Faith talk triggered warnings. Doubt was allowed. Hope was monitored.
Zara stood at the gate, the morning’s TeeVo burning in her spirit. Pastor Chris had been clear: God’s success recipe is not the Word in your heart alone it is the Word in your mouth. Joshua 1:8 does not say the Book of the Law shall not depart from your heart. It says it shall not depart from your mouth. Meditate *hagah* means to mutter it, speak it, even shout it.
In homeroom, when the teacher demanded “evidence-based” statements only, Zara rose.
“I have the life of God in me. I walk in divine health and prosperity. The Lord is my Shepherd; I cannot lack. Success is mine.”
Her wristband flashed red. The class froze.
Later, a new girl named Kayla approached her quietly. “My brother is dying. Everyone says accept reality. But the Word… can it still work if I speak it?”
Zara looked at her. “Your life is under construction every day. Your spoken words are the on-site instructions. Keep the Word in your mouth. That is the infallible success recipe.”
At assembly, when a student collapsed gasping, Zara walked into the open and declared the same words again clear, steady, unashamed. The choking stopped. Breath returned. Silence fell across the hall.
Kayla slowly removed her wristband.
The system had been challenged.
TO BE CONTINUED…
Tomorrow in Episode 2, The board moves to silence Zara. Kayla must decide whether to speak. And a message arrives from the old network: the summer war is not over.
