Samsung has begun rolling out One UI 9 to Galaxy S24 phones worldwide, according to Canaltech. The release follows earlier coverage from 4gnews, which reported that the update had reached a set of Samsung handsets.
Coverage of the rollout has not been limited to the flagship line. Estadão published a full list of devices that have received One UI 9, aimed at users checking whether their own phone has been updated. TudoCelular.com also reported on a hidden setting in the software that blocks ads on Galaxy devices, along with instructions for turning it on.
Not all reports around the release have been positive. Oficina da Net reported that the Galaxy A57 showed a serious problem after it was updated to One UI 9, though the summary did not specify the nature of the fault.
The reports point to a rollout that is still in progress across Samsung's range rather than a single launch. The Galaxy S24 is the model named in the global release, while the A57 issue concerns a different device in the lineup.
Users on affected models will want to watch for Samsung's response to the reported A57 problem and for confirmation of which additional devices are next in line for the update.
