Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is set to arrive in close to 40 languages around the world, according to Bollywood Hungama, which describes the overseas rollout as unusually large in scale. The film's producers, led by Namit Malhotra, are mounting that international release.

The cast includes Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, according to The Times of India. Anupam Kher will voice the bird Jatayu, a role confirmed through a poster shared by the makers. NDTV, Telegraph India and The Times of India all reported the casting.

The Hindu reports that Part 1 will open worldwide on November 5, with advance bookings scheduled to begin on Dussehra.

The Jatayu poster has been the most recent piece of promotional material from the team, arriving ahead of the film's theatrical window. The scale of the language rollout, as reported by Bollywood Hungama, places the project among the wider international releases attempted by an Indian production.

What to watch next: how the advance booking window performs once it opens on Dussehra, and whether the makers announce further cast or character reveals before November 5.
