LOKATUNE has announced the first edition of the MMANJA Tour, a multi-city run that will feature four bands selected through the promoter's submission and curation process. According to Gigsplay, the tour will visit five cities, with stops scheduled from late October into early November 2026.
The four acts on the bill are Deeptalks from Banjarmasin, Gimme New Rhime from Samarinda, Seetrushkin from Makassar and Retronics from Ternate. Gigsplay reports that tickets for the shows are free.
Why it matters
The lineup draws entirely from regional music scenes outside Indonesia's main industry centres, and the tour is designed to carry those acts to audiences in other cities. LOKATUNE said the four bands were not picked overnight: each came through a submission and curation system that opened at the start of 2026.
According to the promoter, the selection weighed each band's body of work, the strength of its live presence and the reach of its music. The tour's name, which the organiser abbreviates as "Main Makin Jauh," frames the run as a journey that extends the bands' reach beyond their home bases.
The five stops
Gigsplay lists the following dates and windows:
- Tangerang, 27 October 2026, 19.00–22.00 WIB
- Sukabumi, 8 October 2026, 19.00–22.00 WIB
- Semarang, 29 October 2026, 16.00–22.00 WIB
- Yogyakarta, 30 October 2026, 16.00–22.00 WIB
- Malang, 1 November 2026, 19.00–22.00 WIB
Who is on the bill
Deeptalks, a modern metalcore unit from Banjarmasin, has released a debut EP containing six tracks. Gigsplay reports that the songs are arranged in sequence and intended to be heard as an emotional journey across six parts.
Gimme New Rhime formed in 2015 in Sangasanga and developed within the Samarinda scene. The band's sound draws on influences including Dinosaur Jr., Weezer and Arctic Monkeys, according to Gigsplay.
Seetrushkin came together in 2023 out of Makassar's hardcore and punk community. The group pairs catchy guitar riffs with heavy drumming and lyrics that look back on youthful memories, Gigsplay reports.
Retronics, active since 2021, plays a stripped-back style of garage rock. The Ternate band's material is built on real-life stories that Gigsplay describes as close to listeners.
A platform for independent acts
Gigsplay framed its coverage around support for Indonesian independent musicians, noting that reader backing helps sustain that work. The tour's free entry lowers the barrier for audiences in each host city to see acts they might otherwise not encounter live.
For LOKATUNE, the run also serves as a test of its curation model: whether a slate assembled through open submissions can hold a five-city schedule within roughly a week of travel.
What to watch
With tickets listed as free, attention now turns to venue details and capacity for each city, and to whether the published Sukabumi date is confirmed as listed. Further announcements from LOKATUNE are expected ahead of the 27 October opener in Tangerang.
