Samsung's next fitness band may add contactless payment support, according to a leak reported by Gizmodo. The report, published on November 8, 2026, points to a wallet settings menu found in the companion app for the unannounced Galaxy Fit 4, suggesting the device could carry an NFC chip for tap-to-pay.

The leaked design shows a rectangular screen that looks much the same as the current Galaxy Fit 3 at first glance, Gizmodo reports. The more telling detail is said to sit inside the "Galaxy Fit 4 Manager" app, where a new wallet configuration option appears. Gizmodo frames this as possible evidence of a cashless payment feature, while noting the expectation is not yet confirmed.

The leak lands as Samsung's smartwatch line has climbed in price. According to Gizmodo, the Galaxy Watch series now sits at roughly 70,000 yen, a level that puts it out of easy reach for many buyers. The Galaxy Fit 3, by contrast, has sold for under 10,000 yen, and talk of a successor had already been circulating before this report.

Gizmodo's report follows separate coverage from Daily Gadget, which said Samsung itself had leaked details of the Galaxy Fit 4, including a speaker and photo watch faces, and suggested a launch was close. Neither outlet offered a release date.

What to watch next: whether Samsung confirms the wallet feature and sets an official launch date for the Galaxy Fit 4.
