Justyna Steczkowska told Marcin Miller she could not judge him fairly after his Eugeniusz Bodo performance on the eighth episode of Polsat's "Twoja Twarz Brzmi Znajomo," according to Interia Muzyka. The episode aired on 23 October 2026. Miller, the vocalist of the group Boys, took on the pre-war Polish star and performed "Sex Appeal."

Interia Muzyka reports that Steczkowska, one of four judges on the show, praised Miller's diction, his movement and his sense of humour. She described the turn as a fine return to an earlier era. The programme's format asks each of eight contestants to draw a musical star at random and then reproduce that artist's performance as faithfully as possible.

The judging panel also includes Małgorzata Walewska, Piotr Gąsowski and Stefano Terrazzino.

Why it matters

"Twoja Twarz Brzmi Znajomo" is one of Polsat's longest-running entertainment formats, and each episode puts a mix of singers, actors and television personalities through an impersonation challenge that tests voice, movement and comic timing at once. The show's appeal rests on contestants stepping outside their usual public image, and the judges' reactions are part of the draw.

Miller's case is a clear example. As the frontman of Boys, a band associated with Polish disco polo, he was asked to reproduce a cabaret and film star from the interwar period — a task that called for more than singing. Interia Muzyka reports that his preparation included work on articulation and lessons in the old Warsaw dialect. Steczkowska's remark that she could not assess him honestly, made in the emotion of the moment, suggests how far the performance went beyond what the panel expected.

A guest opening and a Shakira warm-up

The episode opened with a guest appearance by Krzysztof Ibisz, a Polsat presenter who competed in the show's 18th season. He sang "DOO-DAH, DOO-DAH DA" alongside sisters Ilona and Milena Krawczyńska. Polsat had promoted the appearance in advance, according to Interia Muzyka.

Ula Milewska was the first contestant to compete for points, taking on Shakira with "Addicted to You." Steczkowska thanked her for the energy she brought to the start of the show, saying that seeing someone so cheerful and well prepared, with a major international hit, was a pleasure in itself.

Rafał Brzozowski, who had drawn Bono in the previous episode, performed U2's "With or Without You." Piotr Gąsowski was impressed, telling him that everything landed and that he had captured the restrained quality he admires in Bono. The judge said Brzozowski had delivered the singer's voice so convincingly that he thought he would lose his mind.

What to watch next

Interia Muzyka's report focuses on the judges' reactions rather than the episode's final standings. Viewers following the competition will want to see how the points from the eighth episode reshape the table as the season continues on Polsat.
