The administrator’s meeting was scheduled for mid-morning. The regional network needed a final confirmation by the end of the day. Two pressures. One decision about what the group would keep saying—and how they would carry themselves.
Elena, Jordan, Sofia, Malik, Avery, Caleb, and even Nathan (who had asked to come as a quiet supporter) gathered early under the oak tree before school. The air felt heavier than usual, yet something steady sat beneath it.

This is our set time for promotion. Not because we forced it—but because God delights in lifting His children.”
They prayed simply, declared the upward and forward movement of their lives, and walked into the school day expecting favour rather than bracing for opposition.
The administrator’s meeting was direct but fair. The concerns were heard. The group’s consistency, the fruit of the discussions, and the absence of force or division spoke louder than the complaints. No shutdown was imposed. Clearer guidelines were given, and the lunchtime space was allowed to continue. One administrator even offered a quiet word of respect for how they had carried themselves.
That afternoon the group sent their confirmation to the regional network. The larger door remained open.
As the final bell rang on the last day of August, they met once more under the oak tree. The month that had begun with Elena feeling alone on a new porch had become a story of presence, guidance, the Word, power, identity, and grace.
Jordan grinned. “We didn’t just survive August.”
Sofia finished the thought. “We grew through it.”
Elena looked at each of them—Jordan, Sofia, Malik, Avery, Caleb, Nathan—and felt the quiet weight of gratitude.
“Grace is upon us,” she said. “And this is only the beginning of the brighter path.”
