"IGNORANCE IS COSTLY (Store Up the Word in Your Heart)"

The first city conversation took place that afternoon in a bright community hall packed with teens from several schools.

Elena, Jordan, Sofia, Malik, Avery, and Caleb sat near the front as the session began. The atmosphere was mixed—curious, sceptical, and in a few places openly resistant. When their turn came to share, they spoke simply and clearly from what they had been living. Some students leaned in. Others looked unmoved. A few asked sharp questions that revealed genuine confusion about identity, purpose, and whether faith made any real difference.

On the way home the group processed the afternoon together. The session had gone better than they feared, yet something unsettled them. Several of the questions asked had exposed gaps—not in their sincerity, but in how deeply the Word was actually stored in their hearts. In the moment, a few answers had felt thinner than they wanted.

Jordan was the first to say it. “I knew what I believed, but when the pressure came I realised I didn’t have as much of the Word ready as I thought.”

Elena nodded. She had felt it too. The private message questioning her qualification for the new school responsibility had stayed in the back of her mind all day, and she had not answered it from a deep reservoir of truth—only from a general sense of calling.

Sofia opened the TeeVo.

IGNORANCE IS COSTLY (Store Up the Word in Your Heart)

Key Nuggets from Pastor Chris:

- “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).

- The real tragedy for many is not the absence of resources or power, but ignorance of God’s Word.

- Jesus has dealt with sin and paralysed the devil; what still limits many believers is lack of revelation knowledge.

- You must let the Word dwell in you richly and store it in your heart.

- Ignorance is expensive—it can keep you living far below the glorious life Christ has made available.

- Reject the “luxury” of ignorance. A few minutes of consistent study builds strength and guides decisions.

The words were direct. Visibility and opportunity had not automatically produced depth. Without the Word stored in the heart, even sincere believers could find themselves under-equipped when real questions and pressure arrived.

Elena spoke quietly. “We’ve been doing a lot. But the TeeVo is saying that if the Word isn’t actually in us, ignorance will still cost us—no matter how busy we are for God.”

They decided to respond immediately. Each person chose one verse to store deliberately in their heart that day—not just to read once, but to carry, repeat, and let settle. They wrote the verses down. They spoke them aloud. They treated the act as urgent rather than optional.

That evening Elena sat with her chosen verse longer than usual, letting it move from her phone screen into her memory and her spirit. The question about her qualification still existed, but it no longer felt like a threat she had to manage with personality. She was beginning to answer it with the Word she was storing.

Ignorance, she realised, was not neutral. It was costly. And she was no longer willing to pay the price.

TO BE CONTINUED...

_Tomorrow in Episode 24 (Monday): The next theme from the August TeeVo will continue to build the group as they learn to walk in the reality of what the Word has already made available—and refuse every form of costly ignorance._

TODAY’S TEEVO TRUTH (Key Nuggets by Pastor Chris):

- Ignorance of God’s Word is costly and can destroy potential.

- The glorious life is limited more by lack of knowledge than by external opposition.

- Store the Word in your heart deliberately and consistently.

- Reject the luxury of remaining shallow in Scripture.

ACTION STEP: Choose one verse of Scripture to hold in your heart today. Write it down if that helps, repeat it, and let it settle as living truth inside you.

SUSPENSE ALERT: The city organisers ask the group to return for a second session—with more time and a more challenging audience. At the same time, the private message questioning Elena’s qualification turns into a formal request for her to explain her “spiritual approach” in front of a small student committee.

Find out tomorrow!

Keep living out your TeeVo—ignorance is costly. Store up the Word in your heart!
