“MY DAY IS BLESSED!

(Learn To Bless Your Day Every Day)

Thursday, 22 October

TO THE BIBLE: Genesis 2:3 AMPC

“And God blessed (spoke good of) the seventh day, set it apart as His own, and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all His work which He had created and done.”

Thursday morning started before the pressure had a chance to speak.

Kemi woke up, sat on the edge of her bed, and did something she had been practising more deliberately: she took charge of the day before it took charge of her. The competition was still ahead. There were still sections to refine. There were still people around her carrying the language of “hard day” and “too much.” She refused to join that chorus.

At breakfast Tobi watched her for a moment.

“You’re doing the morning thing again,” he said.

“You’re doing the morning thing again,” he said.

“I’m preparing the soil,” Kemi replied. “No successful farmer walks onto unplowed ground and expects a harvest. They prepare it first. My morning declarations are the same. I’m getting the ground of this day ready to produce what I intend to grow. In Christ, every day is supposed to be a day of joy, blessings, thanksgiving, and rejoicing. That’s God’s will for me not occasional good days, but every day.”

She set her cup down.

“God blessed the seventh day He spoke good of it. I’m created in His image, so I do the same. I don’t wait to see how the day feels before I decide what it will be. Psalm 68 says He daily loads us with benefits. There are blessings for me today. I expect them. I speak them forth. I refuse the language of ‘I’m having a bad day.’ I take charge of my morning and tell the day exactly what to produce.”

Then she spoke it clearly:

“My day is blessed! I walk in the supernatural and manifest the righteousness of God today. I walk worthy of the Lord this day, pleasing Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of Him. The Spirit of God is leading me to be at the right place at the right time. He is opening the right opportunities for me, and I have the wisdom to recognise them and win all the way. Hallelujah!”

The words settled over the room. Later, as she moved through school and her preparation, the atmosphere around her work remained steady. A needed clarification on one competition section came through a short conversation she had not planned. A moment that could have become frustration stayed under her authority instead.

On the way home Tobi glanced at her.

On the way home Tobi glanced at her.

“You’re not reacting to the day anymore. You’re defining it.”

Kemi nodded. “That’s the point. My day is not at the mercy of circumstances. I bless it. I speak productivity and favour into it. And it responds.”

The competition still required diligence. The schedule still held demands. But the verdict over the day had been spoken early and it held.

Her day was blessed.

And she was learning to say so every morning
