INTRODUCTION

There is a people in this story. They are Israel—God's chosen nation. They had experienced incredible deliverance: the parting of the Red Sea, water from the rock, manna from heaven. But they also had a history of failure, rebellion, and captivity. They were now in Babylonian exile, feeling forgotten and forsaken. But God speaks through the prophet Isaiah to declare that He is about to do something brand new. This message is not just for them—it is for you. THIS IS YOU. You may have a past filled with mistakes, disappointments, and pain. You may feel stuck in a wilderness season. But God is saying to you today: YOUR SEASON OF THE NEW HAS ARRIVED. The Holy Spirit brought me to this passage for someone watching right now. Before I preach, I want you to receive this word into your spirit: GOD IS DOING A NEW THING IN YOUR LIFE.

VERSE 18 — "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old."

Stop right there. Did you see that word? "REMEMBER"

God is not saying that you should have amnesia. He is saying that you should not allow your past to dominate your present and your future. The former things—your failures, your sins, your disappointments, your hurts—they are not to be your focus. The things of old—the traditions, the old ways, the old limitations—they are not to be your consideration. God is calling you to a new level of faith. He is saying, "Do not let your past hinder you from receiving your future."

🔥 Receive it:
This is your AFTER FAILURE. You failed the exams. You failed the interview. You failed the business. You tried and it crumbled. But hear me—the season of failure in your life is EXPIRED. You shall pass. You shall be promoted. You shall succeed in the very area that you failed before. God is not limited by your past. He is the God who calls those things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17).

This is your AFTER HURT. People may have wounded you. They may have betrayed you. They may have abandoned you. But God is saying, "Do not remember the former things." That pain is not your identity. That rejection is not your destiny. God is healing your heart right now. He is binding up your wounds. He is restoring your soul. You shall love again. You shall trust again. You shall laugh again.

This is your AFTER LACK. You may have suffered seasons of lack and lack and lack. But God is saying, "Do not consider the things of old." The old season of lack is over. God is opening new doors of provision. He is bringing new opportunities. He is releasing new resources. Your latter house shall be greater than your former (Haggai 2:9).

So how do you forget the former things? You forget by choosing to focus on what God is doing now. You forget by meditating on His promises. You forget by speaking His word over your life. You forget by praising Him in advance. You forget by refusing to rehearse the past. You forget by refusing to let the past dictate your future.

VERSE 19a — "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?"

Stop right there. Did you see that word? "BEHOLD"

Behold means to look, to pay attention, to fix your eyes on something. God is saying, "Pay attention! I am doing something new!" He is not just saying He will do a new thing—He is saying, "Behold, I will do it now!" The word "new" here means fresh, recent, unprecedented. It is not a reformation of the old; it is a brand new creation. God is not in the business of patching up the old; He is in the business of making all things new (Revelation 21:5).

🔥 Receive it:
This is your AFTER BARrenNESS. You are married. You have prayed. You have cried. You have been to the hospital. You have been to the altar. But I prophesy: the famine in your womb, in your home—it has ENDED. You shall carry your baby. You shall nurse your child. Your testimony is loading! God is doing a new thing in your family. He is planting new life where there was barrenness.

This is your AFTER SICKNESS. That disease that has lingered—cancer, diabetes, fibroid, hypertension, HIV, infertility, mysterious illness, spiritual sickness—the famine of your health is OVER. Receive your healing NOW in Jesus' name! God is doing a new thing in your body. He is restoring your health. He is renewing your youth like the eagle's (Psalm 103:5).

This is your AFTER POVERTY. You have been struggling. You have been barely surviving. But God is saying, "Behold, I will do a new thing." He is opening the windows of heaven and pouring out a blessing you cannot contain (Malachi 3:10). He is bringing you into your promised land—a land flowing with milk and honey. You shall lend and not borrow. You shall be the head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28:12-13).

Now it shall spring forth. The new thing is not something you have to manufacture. It is something God is birthing. It shall spring forth—suddenly, unexpectedly, supernaturally. It shall spring forth like a flower in the desert. It shall spring forth like a river in the wasteland. It shall spring forth! And shall ye not know it? You shall know it because you shall see it with your eyes. You shall experience it in your body. You shall testify of it to others.

VERSE 19b — "I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

Stop right there. Did you see that word? "WILDERNESS"

The wilderness represents a place of desolation, a place of testing, a place of lack. The desert represents a dry, barren, waterless place. These are the very places where God demonstrates His power. He does not just make a way in the easy places; He makes a way in the wilderness. He does not just bring water in the fertile land; He brings rivers in the desert. Your wilderness is not a dead end—it is a highway for your God. Your desert is not a wasteland—it is a riverbed for His Spirit.

🔥 Receive it:
This is your AFTER CONFUSION. You have been wandering in the wilderness of confusion, not knowing which way to turn. But God is saying, "I will make a way." He is your shepherd. He leads you beside still waters. He guides you in paths of righteousness for His name's sake (Psalm 23:2-3). He is ordering your steps. He is directing your path. Your confusion is over. Clarity is coming. Direction is coming. The way is opening up.

This is your AFTER DELAY. You have been waiting and waiting and waiting. You have been delayed in your career, in your marriage, in your ministry. But God is saying, "I will make a way." He is the God of suddenlies. He is the God who does not delay. He is the God who is never late. Your delay is not denial. Your waiting is not wasted. God is working behind the scenes. He is making a way where there seems to be no way. The rivers are coming. The desert is blooming.

This is your AFTER REJECTION. You have been rejected by people, by family, by friends, by institutions. But God is saying, "I will make a way." He is opening doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). He is giving you favor with kings and with those in authority. He is turning rejection into acceptance. He is turning betrayal into blessing. He is turning sorrow into joy. You are not forgotten. You are not forsaken. You are chosen. You are called. You are anointed. And God is making a way for you.

I prophesy to you: YOUR WILDERNESS IS BECOMING A HIGHWAY. YOUR DESERT IS BECOMING A RIVER. GOD IS DOING A NEW THING.
