INTRODUCTION

For Online Church Broadcast

There is a believer in this story. He is not named — and that is intentional by the Spirit of God. Because HE IS YOU. He is everyone who has lain awake at night with a thousand questions, who has carried the weight of tomorrow on his shoulders, who has prayed and yet felt the knot of worry tighten in his chest. The Holy Ghost brought me to this passage for someone watching right now. Before I preach, I want you to receive this word into your spirit:

YOUR DAYS OF ANXIETY ARE OVER.

VERSE 6a — "Be careful for nothing;"
Stop right there. Did you see that word?

NOTHING.

The Bible did not say be careful for some things. It did not say be careful for small things. It says NOTHING. The Greek word is medeis — not one thing, not a single matter. God is not asking you to pretend you have no problems. He is commanding you to refuse to let care dominate you. Worry is not a personality trait; it is a spirit that steals your peace. And today, I declare: the spirit of anxiety is broken off your life in Jesus' name!

VERSE 6b — "but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."
Stop right there. Did you see that word?

EVERY THING.

Not some things. Not the big things only. EVERY THING. The word "supplication" means a specific, earnest request. God wants you to be specific. But notice the key: "with thanksgiving." Thanksgiving is the password that unlocks the door. When you thank God before you see the answer, you are declaring that you trust Him more than you trust the problem. And I prophesy: as you thank Him now, your answer is released!

VERSE 7 — "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Stop right there. Did you see that word?

KEEP.

The Greek word is phroureo — it is a military term. It means to garrison, to mount guard, to protect with a sentinel. God's peace is not a feeling; it is a fortress. It will stand guard over your heart and your mind. The peace of God is not the absence of trouble; it is the presence of God in the midst of trouble. And I declare: the peace of God is mounting guard over your heart right now!

VERSE 8 — "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Stop right there. Did you see that word?

THINK.

The Greek word is logizomai — it means to reckon, to deliberate, to take inventory. Your mind is a garden. Whatever you meditate on will grow. If you keep replaying the failure, the rejection, the diagnosis, the betrayal — that is what will grow. But if you deliberately choose to think on what is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report — then faith will grow. And I declare: your mind is being renewed by the Word of God!

VERSE 9 — "Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you."
Stop right there. Did you see that word?

DO.

Paul did not say "think about it" or "admire it." He said DO. Faith without works is dead. The peace of God is not for spectators; it is for participants. As you put the Word into practice — as you pray, as you thank, as you think right, as you do what you have learned — the God of peace Himself will be with you. And I declare: as you do the Word, the God of peace is marching into your situation!

PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for Your Word. I repent for every moment I allowed anxiety to rule my heart. I choose now to cast all my care upon You, for You care for me. I bring every request before You with thanksgiving, and I receive the peace that passes all understanding. Let that peace garrison my heart and mind. I fix my thoughts on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. I commit to doing Your Word, not just hearing it. Thank You for the God of peace who is with me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
